Artistic Director/Modern & Ballet Instructor

Melanie Haulman is the Artistic Director of GAFA Studios and a founding member of The Story Collective. She has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, modern and tap, with additional studies in flamenco
and African styles. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from
UNC-Greensboro.

As a performer, Melanie has danced with X Factor, Forward Motion, The Dance Cooperative, Project Dance, Dance-a-lorus and under Diane McIntyre at American Dance Festival. Melanie has taught and choreographed in various studios, community arts programs, Lees-McRae College. She currently
works at GAFA Studios as Artistic Director and Devita Pilates, as an IM=X pilates instructor.
