Ashley Bethea
Hip Hop Instructor
All people have been gifted by God to add something to the universe that is distinct and deliberate. Most search a life span to discover their uniqueness and some will tap into their talent or skill only to fall short of real fulfillment. Ashley Bethea is one of the few who has gone strong after the Giver, so finding her “call,” and abiding in her anointing.
Over ten years ago, Pastors Antonio and Angel Wellington discerned potential and pointed her in the direction that would define her destiny. She began attending workshops and seminars that covered the gamut of Praise and Worship presentation: music, mime, drama, rap, step, classic and contemporary dance. In a relatively short period, the perfecting of those things she had learned enabled her to be appointed as Choreographer of Hip Hallel and Praise-In-Motion for her local church Descending Dove Christian Center. To that responsibility was added the title of Mime Coordinator for Illustrated Sermons, as Ashley proved capable of doing both well. For half of her years of dance and directing, she has been a student and teacher of Glory Academy of Fine Arts, while attending UNC at Wilmington. To date, she received her Masters degree in Liberal Studies, affording her the opportunity to learn and ‘live’ dance from diverse cultures. Ashley Bethea is single and satisfied a good student of the Word, a great steward of her time, talent and treasure.
Ashley has excelled beyond expectations and brings a new dimension of prophetic performance to the church experience. She possesses the power and passion of a determined praise dancer. She is serious about saving this generation. She is well trained and tenacious. Because she is innovative and creative, the results are versatile and vibrant. She works untiringly and continues to give timeless truth a fresh face.
Ashley Bethea has shared her gifts on many stages and in various venues and the response is never silent. Grown men have cried, children have sat still, and masses have marveled at something they could seldom explain. Ashley knows well that “it” is not her talent or training, but the big hand of a big God who has bigger plans for her life!
